PROJECT OVERVIEW
Madonna Place is a well-established non-profit organization based in Norwich, Connecticut, dedicated to strengthening families and preventing child abuse and neglect through education, advocacy, and community collaboration. Serving hundreds of families each year throughout Eastern Connecticut, the organization provides resources, programs, and support services that help create stronger and healthier communities. The objective of this project was to create a modern, accessible, and informative digital platform that would effectively communicate Madonna Place's mission, showcase its programs and services, and make it easier for families, donors, and community members to engage with the organization. The website was designed to support awareness, community outreach, fundraising efforts, and long-term organizational growth.
DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT
The project began with a complete UI/UX design process in Figma, where the site's structure, navigation, and content strategy were carefully planned to accommodate a large volume of information while maintaining a clear and intuitive user experience. Special attention was given to organizing programs, services, resources, events, and donation opportunities in a way that would be easy for visitors to navigate.
Following the design phase, the website was developed in Squarespace with fully responsive layouts across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Multiple program and service pages were created to help families quickly access relevant information, while dedicated event management and donation functionality were implemented to support community engagement and fundraising initiatives. The platform was also designed to allow the Madonna Place team to independently manage events, update content, and maintain ongoing communication with the community.
RESULTS & IMPACT
The completed website provided Madonna Place with a comprehensive digital platform that supports education, outreach, fundraising, and community engagement. Visitors can now easily explore available programs, access important resources, stay informed about upcoming events, and contribute directly through online donations. By combining user-friendly navigation, scalable content management, and responsive design, the website serves as a valuable resource for both the organization and the families it supports. The result is a professional online presence that strengthens awareness, increases accessibility to services, and provides a strong foundation for future growth and community impact.
